- Radiopaedia case ID: 26467
- Image ID: 5343532
- Image stack position: 3/16
- Plane projection: Coronal
- Aux modality: T2 fat sat
- Modality: MRI
- System: Musculoskeletal
- Findings: Normal femoral head neck offset. There is a small region of cortical integrity/spurring along the anterior superior femoral head-neck junction. There is a focal full-thickness tear of the anterior labrum measuring approximately 12 mm. There is no large associated psoas bursa. The femoral head sphericity is maintained. The acetabulum is not dysplastic. The ligament of teres is unremarkable. The marrow signal is appropriate. No acetabular protrusion. The lateral central edge angle is normal. No acetabular coverage. The alpha angle is normal. Proud bone formation along the superolateral acetabular margin at the level of the reflected rectus femoris head consistent with a previous traction injury. Comment 1. focal anterior labral tear. 2. cortical irregularity along the anterior superior femoral neck. No true cam lesion.
