Summary:

Description
  • Radiopaedia case ID: 59394
  • Study ID: 66750
  • Image ID: 37457551
  • Plane projection: Axial
  • Modality: CT
  • System: Gastrointestinal
  • Findings: Multifocal enteritis with areas of dilation of small bowel. The area of most pronounced thickening and 15-20 cm of distal/terminal ileum, which likely represents a combination of fibrostenotic and actively inflamed Crohn's disease, as it results in upstream small bowel dilatation. A few other short segments of thickened and hyperenhancing small bowel loops are noted proximally, consistent with multifocal disease.
