Summary:

Description
  • Radiopaedia case ID: 31698
  • Image ID: 8763457
  • Image stack position: 4/85
  • Plane projection: Coronal
  • Aux modality: bone window
  • Modality: CT
  • System: Head & Neck
  • Findings: Acute on chronic large left subdural hematoma. Subarachnoid and intraparenchymal hemorrhage are likely traumatic in origin. There is a minimally displaced fracture of the T3 vertebral body with 2 column involvement (possibly an unstable injury). Image quality in the upper cervical spine is degraded by movement artifact and repeat imaging is suggested to exclude further cervical spine fractures.
