Description
  • Radiopaedia case ID: 83979
  • Image ID: 53829021
  • Plane projection: CT axial
  • Study findings: Red arrows point to abnormal origin and course of left main coronary artery The green arrow points to the right coronary artery origin
  • Modality: Annotated image
  • System: Cardiac
  • Findings: Anomalous origin of the left main coronary artery from the non-coronary sinus seen coursing in a retro-aortic region. It is of average size and adequately enhanced and ends by trifurcation into left anterior descending, left circumflex, and ramus intermedius arteries. The right coronary artery arises slightly high, around the sinotubular junction overlying the right coronary sinus and has a bit of a turn somewhat like a 'shepherd's crook"
