Upon detailed examination, these appear arachnid in morphology. A dense, gravity-dependent layer is noted, likely representing liquification of some of the calcific bodies.
  • Study findings: Intraoperative photo showing several calcified spiders within the peritoneum during excision of the ruptured spider sac.
