Summary:

Description	Radiopaedia case ID: 59840 Image ID: 38094095 Image stack position: 35/64 Plane projection: Sagittal Aux modality: T2 Study findings: Lateral and third ventricles are enlarged without convincing transependymal edema to suggest that there is an acute component. The fourth ventricle is normal in size as are the basal cisterns. In view lower third of the aqueduct and a thin-wall when is present and no CSF flow is demonstrated in the aqueduct on CSF flow studies. The remainder of the brain is unremarkable in appearance. Features are those of aqueduct stenosis due to a web. Modality: MRI System: Central Nervous System Findings: The lateral and third ventricles are enlarged without convincing transependymal edema to suggest that there is an acute component. The fourth ventricle appears normal in size.
