(b) Schematic drawing of an atrial switch (Mustard/Senning) for transposition of the great arteries. Systemic (blue) blood is directed from the superior caval vein and inferior caval vein into the left atrium, then via the mitral valve to the left ventricle and then to the pulmonary artery.
