  • Findings: Large, dilated loop of colon within the right and mid abdomen (likely cecum). Mildly dilated loop of colon in the left abdomen. Small bowel is nonobstructed.
  • Study findings: Mildly dilated small bowel without discrete transition point. Dilated cecum containing a small amount stool and mostly air (pseudopneumatosis). Mild distention of the remainder of the large bowel, which transitions at a site of narrowing at the junction of the distal descending and sigmoid colon, with extensive diverticulosis of the sigmoid colon noted at this location. Thin colo-colonic fistula containing air along the medial and superior aspect of this narrowing which can be best seen on the coronal reformatted images.
