  • Findings: Plate and screw fixation of the fifth metacarpal shaft and head. Undisplaced transverse fracture of the metacarpal shaft inferior to the fixation plate. No fracture of the metalwork. Additional oblique fracture of the fourth metacarpal base, with approximately 15 degrees of volar angulation and possible intra-articular extension. Normal carpometacarpal and metacarpophalangeal joint alignment.
