Nasogastric tube through left nostril, appears folded in oropharynx. Homogeneously low density of entire brain, both supra- and infratentorial, with effacement of sulci, basal cisterns, and ventricles (only thin atria of lateral ventricles visible). Consistent with diffuse, widespread brain edema due to anoxia.
