Description	Radiopaedia case ID: 5683 Image ID: 23462 Plane projection: Axial Aux modality: DWI Modality: MRI System: Central Nervous System Findings: MRI of a young child demonstrates diffuse expansion of the pons, with flattening of the floor of the fourth ventricle and effacement of the pre-pontine cistern, trapping the basilar artery between the pons and the clivus. The region demonstrates diffuse increase in T2 signal but no convincing abnormal enhancement. Findings are characteristic of a brainstem glioma.
