It displays bright signal on PD FS, STIR and T2 with evidence of enhancement following IV contrast administration denoting active inflammation. This is associated with inflammation of the trochanteric bursa.
  • Modality: MRI
  • System: Musculoskeletal
  • Findings: Focal calcification or osteophyte lipping from the tip of the right greater trochanter. The rest of bony pelvis is unremarkable.
