Summary:

Description
  • Radiopaedia case ID: 36546
  • Image ID: 12408569
  • Plane projection: Frontal
  • Modality: X-ray
  • System: Urogenital
  • Findings: Multiple surgical staples are seen within the abdomen consistent with previous surgery (renal transplant). Bilateral bypass grafts demonstrated in the groins are heavily calcified. There is mild fecal loading involving the cecum, ascending and proximal descending colon. The small and large bowel demonstrate a normal gas pattern and are of normal caliber. Multiple air fluid levels are seen. In the context of prior small bowel obstructions this may represent early or evolving obstruction.
