Summary:

Description
  • Radiopaedia case ID: 38974
  • Study ID: 41150
  • Image ID: 15198700
  • Plane projection: SAX
  • Modality: MRI
  • System: Chest
  • Findings: An intramural mass originates from  the free wall of the left ventricle. The mass is isodense to the ventricular wall and contains calcification.
  • Study findings: The mass is isointense to the myocardium with linear calcification. It is isointense to the myocardium on steady-state free precession and doesn't cause contraction deformity. Late enhancement is due to high fibrous and collagen contents. Usually fibroma doesn't show enhancement in first pass perfusion images due to high fibrous contents.
