Description	Radiopaedia case ID: 81362 Image ID: 53359430 Image stack position: 4/12 Plane projection: Sagittal Aux modality: T1 Modality: MRI System: Spine Findings: Mild narrowing of C6-C7 disc space with a low T1, high T2/STIR signal of the C6 and C7 vertebral bodies with enhancement on postcontrast sequences (bone marrow edema). No evidence of destruction of the neighboring endplates. Note a soft tissue thickening of the prevertebral and anterior epidural spaces at the C6-C7 level of intermediate signal on T1, high signal T2/STIR with homogeneous enhancement on post contrast sequences. No evidence of abscess formation is seen. A small hydromyelia is noted.
