Description	Radiopaedia case ID: 13312 Image ID: 851332 Image stack position: 10/41 Plane projection: Coronal Aux modality: C+ portal venous phase Modality: CT System: Gastrointestinal Findings: There is a rounded, peripherally enhancing collection in the pelvis, with surrounding inflammatory stranding, appears in close proximity to the sigmoid colon, which demonstrates extensive diverticular disease. The collection contains gas and demonstrates a small air/fluid level. Diffuse fatty infiltration of the liver. Bilateral renal cysts, more on the right. Interpretation: Findings are consistent with sigmoid diverticulitis with abscess formation.
