  • Findings: There is an outpouching from the colon in the left iliac fossa region. There is an acoustic shadowing due to the presence of gas. The colon shows non-circumferential thickening. Pericolonic fat shows significant edema. There is no abscess formation. There are two diverticuli proximal to the above-mentioned lesion. However, there is no diverticulitis at these levels. The rest of the abdominal ultrasound was normal.
