Summary
- Description: Necrotising fasciitisis abacterial infectionthat affects the subcutaneous tissues. As it does not affect theepidermisand upper dermis, its features may be subtle in the early stage, but infection later gives rise to rapid and severe tissuenecrosisif untreated. Most patients with necrotising fasciitis are seriously unwell withsepticfeatures.
