Summary:

  • Radiopaedia case ID: 60608
  • Image ID: 51517799
  • Study description: Right knee
  • Modality: X-ray
  • System: Musculoskeletal
  • Findings: A large pedunculated lesion arising from the lateral aspect of right distal femoral metaphysis projecting away from the epiphysis. The medullary bone extends into the lesion differentiating it from a cortical tumor. There is relative constriction of the distal femoral diaphysis and flaring of the metaphysis representing Erlenmeyer flask deformity (metaphyseal flaring) which can be seen in a number of pathologies including multiple hereditary exostoses.
