  • Description: Authorities and rural community leaders Pueblo Nuevo, Peru in the Ucayali region-meet regularly to discuss their Community Plan, which allows them to make decisions on improving health, diminishing poverty and developing their community. This is an innovation of information technology-based pencil and paper started in the community and in local government processes through software called SISMUNI. Pueblo Nuevo has the support of the USAID "Healthy Municipalities and Communities II" project that implements Management Sciences for Health.
